Autonomous Line Inspection Assistant

Why ALIA?

Lineman waste a lot of time climbing power lines to check for any malfunctions. ALIA is a UAV designed to fly over the lines and relay video and telemetry data.

Observe or Map

ALIA is able to fly over terrian and take altitude measurements to construct a 3D topographic map. This allows us to locate and record objects of interest. ALIA is also able to record HD locally and stream lower resolution video.

Current Sense Claw

ALIA is able to deploy a claw that can measure current in a wire and can be manually shut or closed remotely. Current data is also able to be transmitted and recorded.
